Vik is professionally engaged with Oracle's sales organization. His current focus is on Oracle's Fusion Platform and its Services Oriented Architecture. Prior to joining Oracle he worked in SAP's sales organization and participated in various high value transactions. Vik's experience encompasses business development and sales execution centered around emerging technologies.
He is an avid researcher and his academic research has been published in numerous refereed scholarly journals. These include the Journal of Strategic E-Commerce, the Journal of Electronic Commerce in Organizations, and the International Journal of Enterprise Information Systems. He also serves on the review boards of the Business Process Management Journal and the Journal of Information Technology Education. His latest research is centered on the monetization of enterprise knowledge management.
He has also authored practitioner-oriented articles pertaining to breakthrough innovations and strategic initiatives at SAP. His professional writings have appeared in various SAP-centric publications including SAPInfo and SAPTips. While at SAP he was a regular presenter at TechEd, ASUG, SAPPHIRE and other SAP-affiliated seminars, workshops and trade shows.
Vik earned his undergraduate degree in business administration from Villanova University and a master's degree in information technology from Harvard University, where he received the Dean’s List Academic Achievement Award.
In his spare time he enjoys running, golfing, swimming and playing the saxophone.
